LSC Design embraces Environmental Stewardship as an integral part of the project planning process, requiring a high level of commitment from all members of the design and construction team. We understand that teamwork and communication are crucial to successful implementation of the U.S. Green Building Council’s guidelines.

LSC Design is currently working on several projects that are on target to receive LEED certifications based on the U.S. Green Building Council’s Green Building Rating System. LSC’s experience with the LEED Green Building Rating System is exemplified by the following projects:
Chesapeake Commerce Center
Baltimore, Maryland

Development of two office buildings located on a brownfield site, these buildings serve as the cornerstone for a massive redevelopment effort. Both buildings are two-story and contain restrooms and stairwells amidst an open floor plan so that individual tenants can determine floorplan layouts. These buildings achieved LEED certification.
York College of Pennsylvania – Kinsley Engineering Center
York, Pennsylvania

35,000 sf adaptive reuse effort to convert a turn-of-the-century manufacturing facility into a unified Engineering Department at York College. The design utilized the building’s existing 24’ high clerestory to allow natural light into the classrooms and laboratories. This building achieved LEED Silver certification.
Gettysburg National Military Park Museum & Visitor Center
Gettysburg, Pennsylvania

Development of a 140,000 sf museum and visitor center on a 100-acre site for the National Park Service. The fourth museum in the Nation and the first museum in Pennsylvania to achieve LEED Gold Certification.
Wolf Center for Philanthropy
York, Pennsylvania

Renovation of office space located in downtown York featuring staff offices, conference rooms, reception and waiting areas, a training room, kitchen, and restrooms. The renovation focused on maximizing natural light and the use of recycled local materials. On this project LSC worked with a LEED consultant to document and achieve LEED Silver certification.
