Located in the heart of the Northwest Triangle development area of downtown York, The Smyser-Royer building was once home to an iron foundry that produced iron used to build the Brooklyn Bridge, lampposts on Ben Franklin Parkway in Philadelphia, and fences in New Orleans. Today, this historic pre-Civil War building is home to the York Academy Regional Charter School.
